Happy New Year!

Even though I was born in 2006, most of my first year of life took place in 2007 and so there's a lot to reflect on for this past year. I want to remember by 1st dog Spire who passed a way the end of January - I only knew him for a few short months but he was a great dog, friend, companion and had a good life. We have missed him. My camping trips to the coast in my first months of being born, Central Oregon to hang with our friend's and watch the super bowl, Climbing/camping at Smith Rock with friend's (since I had to be watched), Climbing/camping trip over memorial day weekend with friend's in Washington, Eugene for Prefontaine (my 1st track meet), flying to Indiana to see family and attend the US Outdoor Track and Field champs (mom had to work). Our first big road trip in the van (Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming & Colorado - then back through Utah, Nevada and back to Oregon). 3200 miles of driving/camping and seeing some of this Country's beautiful landscape (favorite's were Rocky Mountain National Park and Southern Utah (Mohab/Arches)). Cave hiking, String Summit Music Festival weekend, Hiking on Mount St. Helen's, summer concert series in the parks, new school starting at Nike, my 1st College football game, Grammy and Pappy visiting, my 1st birthday, hiking in the snow, snow shoeing in Central Oregon, Indiana Christmas trip 2007. Wow! My first year of life has been good. I'm really looking forward to what 2008 brings.
