Friday late afternoon we headed up to Government Camp area on Mt. Hood and snowshoed in to a cabin dad rented for the weekend. It was actually a birthday present for mom which was very thoughtful of dad. I wasn't very happy after the first 15 min. but I think I just need to adjust to the winter weather and being outside. We picked up our sled that we used to carry one of the backpacks and food and then dad had me in my pack on his back and mom had the other pack. However, on the way out on Sunday I rode in the sled most of the way back to the van.
