Friday was the start of a very nice weather and fun weekend. We started off at mom's 'BAC' social at the end of the day on Friday... what is BAC? Bowerman Athletic Club - yeah, mom thinks she needs to push herself at least once a week while running so she joined her work 'run club' and plans on doing track workouts at least once a week and feels then she can 'enjoy' the runs on the other days. We'll see - I'm glad mom brought me to the social though because I ate a lot of pizza while mom was chatting. Then we met dad at Mississippi Pizza & Pub for some outdoor fun with friends. On Friday's from 5 - 8pm a band plays and it's very kid friendly during this time. Sometimes the bands play music geared towards children but most of the time it's a unique local band playing Bluegrass or other interesting music. We'll have to remember to come back for more Friday music! http://www.mississippipizza.com/Then wow - Saturday it was sunny and warm. It felt like we were still in NM! As you can see from the photo's I wore my new tank and shorts all day! We spent a great deal of the day outside - how could we resist? Mom took me to the park (while dad was still spring cleaning the house) and since a few weeks ago when I went I can now climb up the stairs to the small slide and slide down all by myself (a few weeks ago mom and dad would help me get up and sit me on top of the slide). I knew what I was doing this time and had no problem continuously going down the slide. I was hot after playing outside for much of the morning! Luckily mom and dad bought more sunscreen when we were in NM since we had a very summer day for us.
In the afternoon dad picked up a 'pull behind' bike seat for me from Kara and Chris so they took me for a ride through the neighborhoods. My helmet doesn't quite fit yet - so no busy roads for me just yet! We hope everyone got outside this weekend -
