Puget Sound, WA trip

After a week a way without mom (she was in Vermont for work) we all packed in the van on Friday afternoon and headed North to the Puget Sound in Washington. It was a long hot ride - we had weather over 100 on Friday so with traffic and brush fires the van trip became a much longer trip to the cabin. Dad's work friend has a place up on the ocean and invited their office to come enjoy the weekend. We had lot's of good seafood; fresh crab everyday, fire grilled Salmon and my favorite watermelon! I wasn't quite ready for crab and I'm not eating salmon these days so I really didn't each much besides fruit over the weekend. I love my fruit - although Chris' dad made homemade sourdough waffles on Sunday and I loved those. Mom and dad played lot's of Pickle ball (they had never heard of pickle ball) but little did they know that Chris' grandmother invented the game back in the 1930's. We had a tournament with the 5 teams we had and mom and dad did pretty good. They did get beat by the experts - Chris and Shanon. We think we could have whooped them if played again. :)
I played outside with the kid's in the little pool while the adults were playing pickle ball. Then later in the afternoon dad and the guys swam in the ocean while me and mom kayaked in the ocean. I had a good seat and mom would sometimes get me wet when she paddled. I just sat back and relaxed.
