This weekend was full of friends, food and late nights... Since Brad was heading to Beijing for the Olympics (and mom wasn't) we went over to Christie and Brad's for some yummy bbq and good times. There were some other kid's there and lot's of dogs so it was fun trying to keep up with everything.
Then Saturday night we went to a new friend's wedding reception in their back yard which conveniently for us was just around the corner. Lot's of kid's there and mom and dad took me over in the wagon. It was so fun riding over and later in the evening I fell asleep and slept part of the evening in the wagon. Mom and dad felt pretty lucky that I was such a good sleeper in the wagon.
Dad headed out of town early on Sunday (Arizona - which was 105 degrees today) and so mom and I had the day to ourselves. We ate a late breakfast at Beaterville (yummy) and I walked almost the entire way home from the restaurant which is about 15+ blocks. That's probably why it took us so long to get home. Then it was off to Grant pool - we've never been there and it's the first outdoor pool I've been to in Portland. It was a lot of fun but I was nervous at first and didn't want to let go of mom. Soon enough I was comfortable and even went down the slide by myself a few times. We hope to get back to the pool again soon and hopefully dad can come! Sunday's from 4:30-6pm is family time and was perfect.
Dad is out of town until Wednesday night so I'm sure mom and I will keep ourselves busy until he returns.
