We had such a nice long weekend in town, although we missed our family this Thanksgiving -we know we have a lot to be thankful for! We reminded Bailey and ourselves of what we are thankful for.
Our week started off visiting with our neighbors who we've been enjoying getting to know. And we met some of their friends who live near us and who also have a little one. Mom got out to celebrate her 'birthday' and met up wiht some friends at a fun bar she's been wanting to check out. Rontoms, which has a really cool space and a lot of 'conversation' settings with vintage style couch and chairs. Although the service was lacking, what do you expect from an over crowded bar? It's more of a 'hipster' place which now that mom is 36 we're glad to know she can still hang with the hipsters. Well not really but at least she was there and checked out the scene.... since the place has been open for 2 years. :)
Thanksgiving morning we all got up and headed to the zoo after breakfast! Not your typical Thanksgiving but we had a fun time viewing the new baby elephant and some of the tigers and monkeys.
Mom and dad did some cooking while I napped and got ready for our invitation to our friends for dinner. We had a nice dinner with lot's of laughs and everything turned out great. You never know when it's someones first time hosting - but John and Jen did great!
