I hung out with dad a lot this week since mom was working on Nike Cross Nationals event that was this past weekend. There were 450 top high school cross country runners from all over the US and a few teams from Kenya out on campus and at the Portland Meadows. Mom made sure each of the participant was fully loaded with uniforms, warm-ups and footwear. Dad and I went out on Saturday for the race and it was great. The weather was awesome - clear sky's and sun!
This past week at school, I had a tiring week. Mom kept waking me up in the mornings, throwing clothes on me and getting us out the door so she could get to work. I'm not a morning person and like to take my time waking up so towards the end of the week it was wearing on me. Did you notice my black eye? My friend at school was picking up their chair and hit me in the eye. There was only a bump at first but a few days later my eye turned a greenish black color. I am pretty tough though so I didn't let it bother me too much. I'm just glad I was able to catch up on some rest this weekend and sleep in with dad.
In the photo of dad and I - I'm getting pretty good at 'smiling' for the camera - big cheese! I think it's so funny when mom asks to take a photo of me. And every time now I want to see what the photo looks like. This is one of my new favorite shirts also, grammy got it for me for my birthday and I love wearing it because it has the ABC's on it. It also call's out 'I LUV U'. :)
