We woke Sunday morning to more snow but what we didn't see, even with staying up late was the freezing rain that toppled the snow. On Sunday we had 'spontaneously' planned a holiday brunch with friends that were headed back East or out of town to be with their family's over the holidays but with our weather only a few friends ventured out and that was because they had no power. brrrrrrr
We had a nice time fixing yummy comfort food, with a good menu like spinach, leek, mushroom fritata; Dave's potato pancakes and my friend Betsie would be happy to know I made some vegetarian gravy which turned out excellent for the potato pancake topper. Scott and Michelle whooped up some yummy fresh cut potatoes with garlic and yumminess and to top it off was some frozen biscuits that I'd had been curious about from Traders Joe's. Such a relaxing and great day to spend with friends and snow! Of course Bailey loved hanging out with Reece and following him around everywhere he went. They were too cute!
The Kewley-Simone house hold made it back safely and good thing their power was back on!
