It was such a nice weekend filled with lot's of sunshine which mom definitely needs in the winter time... although it was pretty windy so on Sunday instead of getting out of the city we decided to stay local and do some hiking on our local trails and some which we haven't hit in the 12+ years mom and dad have been in Portland. We've been up to Council Crest (highest point in Portland) but only by car and long ago mom ran up via road not trails (what was she thinking). We enjoyed the short travel time and once we got to the start of the trail, I hiked for about 30min. which was almost .4 miles. Pretty good for me! Soon after getting in the backpack I took a short nap for most of the trip.
Dad left Monday morning and traveling for work (Vegas - really is it work for the week) so mom and I enjoyed our holiday on Monday playing at the park, and we went over to my friend Sophia's house and went for a run outside and then finally got to play with my friend.
