Our summer like weather hit us for a few days and sparked all kinds of exciting energy into us Oregonians. Sunday was a perfect day for a nice hike in the Gorge - Angel's Rest which is only 30 miles outside the city and where most folks traveled to hike on this day! After climbing 1,500 feet in elevation we made it to the 'rest' area overlooking our beautiful gorge. Bright blue sky's, warm sun and a great spot for lunch. Bailey hiked 'up hill' for about an hour -very impressive. After lunch, we continued our hike in the woods where we were able to get a way from all all of the people and time for Bailey to fall asleep in the backpack. There were lot's of butterflies, snakes, and 'Trillium' flowers.
After our hike we rested for a short time at home before heading over to the Self's Greek Easter dinner - busy and fun weekend! And unfortunately Bailey woke up with a slight fever, stuffy nose and watery eyes on Monday morning thus leaving mom and Bailey home for the day (since Dad headed to Dallas for work for the week). Although I couldn't complain being home on another 80+ degree day.
Lastly - photo of me at 4 months!
