One month later...

HOUSE WORK... Dave has been busy this weekend working at the new house and filling yet a 3rd dumpster. Last week when he cleared out the basement pretty much filled the dumpster with old wood that we can't reuse, carpet and walls. There once was several walls and cabinets in this basement and now it's almost completely open. The plumbers had to break up the concrete to get to the main sewer line for the new plumbing. All new plumbing should be installed by end of this week. And the HVAC folks should hopefully also be finished with installation. We hope so since we have the electricians coming in next week! One night this week we'll get to head over to the house and draw out where we'd like all of the electric outlets and lights, etc... fun! I think this will stress me out since it's difficult for me to see the complete vision for the layout.
On Sunday Dave, Justin, Cesar and Tim re-framed the wall upstairs in the bedroom. This was an 'added' project that we thought would make since - making one room a bit smaller by moving the wall 3' in and providing an additional 3' for our now walk-in closet for our bedroom. They ran into a few problems with some rotted wood a long the way but basically finished getting the new wall layout up. And they were able to use all of the same wood which was great.
The last photo on the bottom is the kitchen which we originally thought we would get to start framing this weekend but of course as we all know projects always seem to take longer than expected. However, Justin helped out and finished clearing out all of the flooring (as well as the flooring in the upstairs bathroom). The wall to the left (looking at the photo) will eventually be coming out, opening the kitchen up even more and the door you see will turn into a window. The other 2 windows will be replaced with new windows and there will be a 'bench' seat that sits under these windows.
