I'm always so impressed with our friends' Dana and Nick; I hadn't caught up with Dana the past few months (life keeping us all busy) and always wonder what she's up to - both her and Nick are quite the entrepreneurs. A few years ago Dana decided to tend to her folks grapes that hadn't been kept up in years. Dana decided she wanted to start making wine and thus tending to her folks plot of vines (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay)... and planting, investing more.
Long story short (because my memory is not so great and I would slaughter the story to pieces), her and a friend began working on the vineyard. Dana is also a gardener and has a lot of space at their house for planting yummy vegetables, etc... and she has combined forces with her dad and another friend and began planting fruits and vegetables at the vineyard, in a way to help diversify their vineyard (what a great idea)! They have planted enough vegetables to serve 10 families or more for smaller families for 20 weeks! Check out her web site for more details about Dana and their new projects and to learn more about CSA(Community Supported Agriculture) - to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer check out this link; CSA

Are you and Dave joining a CSA this year? We're deciding to do a half share or not - finding one that delivers to NE. We love our farmers' market routine but a CSA is so appealing.
