Happy 4th of July!

Although we stayed around town for the long weekend - mom and I kept busy most days - enjoying all of the sunshine and HOT weather we've been having. It all started Thursday when we stopped by the farmers market downtown and then had fun playing in the water at Jamison square. This may have been the start of my messed up sleep schedule over the weekend and as dad says, being a 2 year old (is this the part where folks say terrible two's)? Friday we stayed close to the house and went to Kenton park to play in the water splash pads - it's great to have so many close by parks with water features now! We got ready for our little bbq on Friday night - grilling up some salmon, halibut and Tim's sausages! It was fun having Reece, Evan, Vivian and baby Kai around as well. Dad worked a short day at the new house since we had people over - but made up for it on the 4th of July and Sunday (and tonight - Monday).
We went to Christie, Brad and Sophia's for bbq on the 4th - soon after we got there dad, Tim and Jocelyn and Brad took their long boards out to head down a nice hill near their house. Dad came back to the house with several 'owees' cuts and bumps and was very lucky since a car rolled through the stop sign and Dad tried to avoid the car and slid under the car and the car only ran over his leg! Scary... and glad we weren't there to watch the scenario - however, mom's making him go to the doctor tomorrow to ensure nothing more than a sprang ankle (which is what he thinks is up)... since now 2 days later he is limping and it's hurting more. The car ran over his leg! He says it's fine though and was fine on Sunday when he worked at the house all day - probably should have stayed off of it but when something doesn't bother you it's kind of difficult to do something more about it. We'll let you know if anything more happens with that!
Also, we kept forgetting the camera at the house so no photo's of our weekend in-town adventures - these photo's are from tonight during bath time and me showing off my cool braid! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!
