Skip Skip Skip to my Lou
I thought Bailey was going to show off her skipping skills, however, it turned into some sort of dance moves.
Bailey is now 2 years and 8 months and I'm wondering if this is a new phase for her.
Some new things:
Why? Bailey has officially started the 'Why' phase. I'm been patient thus far explaining things when she has asked why? "Why mommy" is a typical response. It's been fun and I can tell she is understanding more and more each day. This morning Dave asked Bailey, 'Do you want to eat breakfast or what?' and she replied, 'or what'. Really? I laughed!
Bailey has not been wanting to sleep - not only at bed time but nap time as well. It started a few weeks ago but even at school she is being difficult when it comes to nap time. Last week she didn't take a nap 2 times... not good especially since when I pick her up she will fall asleep in the car and then later does not want to go to bed for the night. It's been normal to take over an hour these past few weeks to get her down at bed time. Exhausting!
This morning she insisted on wearing a diaper and kept saying she was a baby. And then she proceeded to dump her milk, her food on her plate, etc... I asked her why she did this and she said she was a baby. She has been wanting me to hold her like a baby and rock her in the rocking chair. And she has mentioned that she is a baby like the baby in my belly. ??? I'm hoping this is only a phase she is going through and perhaps getting use to the idea of having another baby around? I didn't realize this would start so soon!
Makes me a bit anxious having another baby around!
Lastly and nothing I'm too worried about is her eating. She has been mostly a good eater I'd say - normal but it seems like she is becoming more particular with us. She doesn't eat a great breakfast anymore which she normally always ate a good breakfast. She's been skipping lunch meals these past few weeks, which hasn't happened before and I can hardly get her to eat dinner. I think it's just a phase - or is this finally the 'terrible two's'? I don't read books but thinking I should start!

Wow! Other than the baby stuff, we're having the same problems. Go figure!
