This year we were officially a part of the block party. Last year we were invited and attended to meet some of the neighbors but we hadn't officially moved into the house yet. It was much the same with all of the lighting and decorations and once the street was closed at 12pm - the kid's took over! Bailey played all day long; chalking, riding her bike - chasing the kid's. Playing in the wagons, on skateboards...we made hula hoops for most of the kid's on the block. We had bad mitten set up, double dutch jump roping which was a hit by all. And later in the evening a few of the neighbors broke out their music instruments and we had our own little band playing in front of the street fire. So cool! Bailey is doing one of her new dances - which consists of shaking her bum! Kid's and bums...
