Last week I took a bike ride to Rocky Butte - in NE part of town. After 14 years of being in Oregon it's still amazes me of the places I still need to get to. I wasn't really planning on a major bike ride and what started with Parker in the back didn't last very long... as I had to turn back home and drop her off. Too tired! So after riding for awhile and then hitting the 1.5 miles UP I was glad to make it to the top of Rocky Butte! And it was especially nice because I made it by sunset. A pretty nice place to catch sunset for sure and so close to us. There's view of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helen's in the distance. You also get a good shot of downtown while you're up there.
