Before flying out to Indiana for Christmas we took up our friends offer to head to their vacation house in Sun River for the weekend. This made for a perfect start to our Christmas vacation and felt like Christmas too with all of the snow!
On Saturday we went snow shoeing with Bailey on our back in her pack and what started out with lot's of snow flying soon turned into a very nice day which made a good ending to our somewhat stressful snow shoe trip. We once again learned our limits in the outdoors with Bailey! She was not very happy for part of the trip. We've decided for future outings we will not go past 2 1/2 miles with her out in the cold. She did finally fall asleep in Dave's arms and Dave had to carry her in his jacket and snow shoe all of the way back to the car which took over an hour from the time she fell asleep. He definitely got a better work out in doing that. He was soak en wet after getting back to the car! I was glad when the sun came out and snow stopped falling which made for a beautiful end to our snow shoe outting. We should be good to go for our next Snow Shoe trip next week to the cabin we rented. Yeah!
