Updates on House

Dave and a few friends (Tim, Scott and Justin) helped fill another 20 yard dumpster this past weekend. The house is coming a long and Dave made sure to clean up everything around the house and in the basement where everything was being stored for the dumpster. It looks so much better!
The dry wall is complete - all of the walls have been skimmed with plaster on the main floor and upstairs. New walls in the kitchen and bathrooms. Amazing the transformation.
The floors have been sanded and the staining of the floors was suppose to happen today and all should be complete by weekend (besides the kitchen and bathroom floors which Dave will install). And we still need to pick out carpet for the upstairs bedrooms. Yep we're going with carpet in the bedrooms and possibly a runner down the stairs (however we are having the stair floors redone as well).
The cabinets were delivered and installation has begun. All appliances have been delivered and awaiting their space in the basement (except the fridge which we had them move into kitchen - heavy)!
By Friday we're hoping to hear good news on our loan and next week trim and finish work will begin. All new trim in the kitchen and bathrooms and restoring the old trim work for a few areas on the main floor and re-installing the old trim in the bedrooms (since we had the ceilings put in). It's great our trim guy will be using all of our saved old wood.
We made a long list of things we still need to do but mostly it's making decisions on tile, paint, faucet's, fixtures, bathroom vanity, cabinet hardware, etc... so many decisions to be made!
If you recall some of the old photo's of the house, remember the upstairs bedrooms had about 5 layers of wallpaper and carpet, the entire main floor was covered in carpet.
The two photo's of the basement is the cleaned out basement (soon enough there will be at least a laundry room before moving in) and the 'shop' which is off of the garage (under the front porch of the house). All cleaned out and ready for some organized tools!
