Happy Easter!

It was cold, windy and rainy for our Easter weekend! We stayed inside most of the weekend but we had some fun coloring eggs on Saturday with the Perkowski's and Bailey had a lot of fun with her best friend Avery. She was so excited they were coming over that she sat out on the front porch waiting for them to arrive. It was so cute! One thing I forgot to do after we dyed our eggs is take a photo of them!!! We didn't do anything fancy - some dye, vinegar and white eggs (this year white eggs)! However, a few of my friends made some very unique colored eggs that I may have to adopt next year - and I think I've decided we need to buy at least a carton of eggs for Dave and I to color as well - that's the fun part!
On Sunday, after the Easter bunny left a trail of eggs throughout the house and a small basket filled with treats - we headed to Concordia University church where our friend Amy's dad ministers. We have kind of made it a tradition since this is our third year spending Easter with the Drew's family. Bailey may associate Easter with Carson - her friend she loves playing with.
After brunch at the Drew's parents house - we headed home for rest time. Just in time for dinner at Christy and Brads with Sophia and Caitlyn their new baby.
Easter brunch and dinner was especially challenging for Dave and I as we started a Cleanse program and have eliminated sugar and chocolate, wheat, gluten, caffeine, most meat (Dave has had a little) and we had fish a few different times. Proper planning is a must! We've been doing pretty good on the dinners, using more brown rice, lentils, varieties of quinoa, and lot's of fruits and vegetables. We're in our 2nd week and survived Easter without any mishaps. I'm wondering if I'd feel any difference after wards - we'll see! We've been a little more tired this first week so hoping that changes for this second week (oh wait was have an infant still)!
